Summer Magic

Currently, I’m feeling incredibly content. I’m all curled up in my room where it’s all cold and cosy. It’s this feeling which is urging me to document whatever happened in the past few days - to prevent it from being wiped out from my memory.

Summer has finally begun (figuratively of course) and I am enjoying almost every moment of it!

Wednesday started off with us celebrating Sonu’s birthday. We went out for dinner at Marrakesh (it was pretty good! A pleasant surprise!) and we then went to Attica to party for a bit! Loved every moment of it! Was wonderful to finally meet everyone again and laugh to our heart’s content :) Let go of my inhibitions for a bit and actually downed some tequila shots and had some champagne. Decided that I needed to live a little and not be too uptight all the time :) So yes, that was an amazing night - it’s wonderful how your friends can put a smile on your face.

Thursday was a wonderful day as well! Went over to G’s house to celebrate his birthday (May’s a BUSY month I tell you! ;)) Felt really sad when I saw his wounds. They looked so painful…I kept reminding him to take care of them :/ So we ended up ordering in VeganBurg and watched RM on TV while we laughed our asses off! A special thanks to G for making us those wonderful milo drinks (having alcohol two days in a row - I DON’T EVEN KNOW MYSELF ANYMORE! :O) I love how we can have fun even while we’re not doing anything special. Meeting up with the gang always makes me feel all happy and warm inside. Can’t wait for C to come back so that we can have our karaoke-ing sessions, etc. Anyway, get well soon G! <3

Friday was amazing as well! Went for mum’s exhibition, hung out with A and A for a bit :) Went out to meet S, P and CK for dinner and drinks! Had an amazing dinner at PFDS where I freaked the rest out with not even having to look at the menu and knowing what to order haha. They were amazed at how much I frequented the place! Went off to OverEasy to have a couple of drinks. Did not order myself a drink - didn’t want to be too adventurous and make it a 3-day alcohol week ;) Did try P’s wine, which was surprisingly yummy! Walked with S all the way back to Central and took a bus home - had a good HTHT with her and I really hope it made her feel better. I love how we’ve all gotten so close in law school and I love that there are people I can depend on <3 So thanks guys, for always being there. I missed JY though! We should totally do this again! 

Saturday was pretty fun! Went over to B’s house to prepare for K’s birthday - we made her a wonderful card! Spent 6 hours making that card, amidst mindless banter, laughter and crazy talk! Made a new friend Lucy (or Fei Fei or Yan Xi - she claimed she had 6 names LOL) I only got back home at about 1am and mum ripped a new one on me :( 

Today was also an incredibly fun day! Went to surprise K in the morning for her birthday and showed her the amazing video! I also went to watch The Avengers with K, K and Y. We hadn’t met in ages but it was great to catch up! It’s this feeling of coming home (sorry for being so sappy!) They are family friends of course! Being an only girl in the group does not make me feel awkward at all and it’s great that I’m just one of the guys as well. Hanging out with them reminds me of all the times we spent playing cards and just chilling at each others’ places while the parents would be out doing whatever that they did. I really miss those days and I terribly wish that we could have more of them. :’(  K asked me how I was going home and I replied “You’re dropping me home of course!” He just rolled his eyes playfully at that. Love how there is no awkwardness even if we haven’t met in months at a time! They truly are some of my greatest buds. <3

So yes, this week has been completely amazing! I’ve met up with all my different groups of  friends and it’s making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :) I feel incredibly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family around me.

You think it’s a joke. You think it’s funny. Yet you don’t know how much it hurts me inside.   I’ve been subjected to this ridicule since I was a kid - that does not make it okay. That does not make it less hurtful.
